About Our Troop
Organized in 1935, Troop 226 has been operating continuously ever since. The Troop has members today whose fathers were also members of 226. Originally sponsored by the PTA of the Strongsville Schools, since 1945 we have been sponsored by the Strongsville United Methodist Church. The church provides facilities for our weekly meetings and storage space for the Troop equipment.

Troop 226 accepts boys without regard to race, religious affiliation, and where possible, handicapping condition. We specialize in primitive camping with lots of physical activity. We normally carry an active roster of at least 55 boys.

About Our Scoutmaster
Mr. Derek Apo, Sr. is our Scoutmaster and has been active with Troop 226 since September 2012. A Strongsville resident, he is a police officer. In addition to the Scoutmaster, there are several adult Assistant Scoutmasters and many older Scouts who help guide the Troop.

Troop 226 is sponsored by the Strongsville United Methodist Church, 13500 Royalton Road, Strongsville, OH  44136
